TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR KLU EXECUTIVE EDUCATION ONLINE
§1 SCOPE
These terms and conditions concern participation in Executive Education online programs offered by Kühne Logistics University – Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung (KLU).
§2 REGISTRATION
Upon registration for an online course on KLU’s platform, you receive your login details. Registrations for online courses are personal and chargeable. Passing on or transferring registrations and login details to third parties is not permitted. In the event that a participant violates this condition, KLU may assert any resulting claims against him/her for breach thereof.
§3 PROGRAM FEES
(1) Your course registration is binding and will be booked at KLU upon receipt.
(2) Upon booking a course the prices indicated online for a program apply. Payments are due immediately after booking a course online. Your course will be available to you after your payment has been received.
(3) Payments may be done via bank transfer or paypal. Please transfer payments to the account specified on the invoice and include the invoice number with all payments.
(4) Cancellations must be made in writing. If cancellations is submitted before the online course has been unlocked, you will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. If cancellations are submitted after the online course has been unlocked, you will not receive a refund.
§4 DOCUMENTS AND VIDEOS
Documents, texts and online videos provided by KLU for an online course must not be reproduced, copied, altered by electronic means, distributed or released to the public without prior written permission from the KLU. Participants may be required to pay damages if they violate this condition.
§ 5 LIABILITY
(1) Participants are not entitled to file claims for damages, whatever the legal basis. This applies in particular to claims relating to a breach of duties arising from the obligation or from unlawful acts. This does not apply in the case of mandatory liability.
(2) Claims for damages – regardless of their legal nature – are limited to the cost of the program fee.
§ 6 PERSONAL INFORMATION/DATA PROTECTION
Participants are advised that the KLU digitally saves the data it collects from them and uses it for contract purposes. The KLU guarantees that such data shall be treated confidentially. In registering for an online program, participants agree that their data will be saved as described. Participants have the right to view, change or delete their details at any time. More details about the privacy policy can be found under privacy protection.
§ 7 FINAL PROVISIONS
(1) KLU is represented by its Executive Education subsidiary, the KLU Executive Education GmbH. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply for all legal relations that result from registering to participate in further education events offered by the KLU Executive Education GmbH.
(2) The place of jurisdiction is Hamburg.
(3) If one of the provisions in these terms and conditions becomes invalid or voidable, this shall not affect the remaining provisions.
